What we collect

When you place an order or send us an enquiry, we collect your name and whichever of your email address, phone number and delivery address you give us, along with any note you add to the order.

If you create an account we also store a securely scrambled version of your password. We never store the password itself, and nobody at Ngano Dzedu can read it.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password and we have no access to your Google account.

We keep a record of what you ordered so that we can answer questions about it later, and so your order history is there when you sign in.

Why we collect it

To fulfil your order, to answer your enquiry, and — only if you have asked us to — to send you occasional news about new chapters. Nothing else.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to complete your order: the courier who delivers it, and the payment provider if you pay online. Each receives only what they need — a courier gets your delivery address, not your order history.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, but we would tell you unless the law prevented us.

Cookies and browser storage

The site stores a small identifier in your browser so that your bag survives a page reload, and a sign-in token if you have an account. These are necessary for the shop to work.

We do not use advertising cookies. If website analytics are enabled, they are configured to measure traffic in aggregate rather than to identify individual visitors.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we may need them for accounting and for answering questions about past purchases.

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored scrambled using industry-standard hashing. Access to customer information is limited to the people who run the shop.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Message us and we will action it — we may need to keep order records where the law requires, and we will tell you if so.
